  4.    The DISKMASTER utility prints diskette labels on 5" x 1 7/16" label
  5. stock. This size label just fits  on the top of a  standard 5 1/4 inch
  6. diskette. The program supports EPSON, IBM, and OKIDATA printers.  Many
  7. user options are provided. The next few HELP pages describe them.
  8. FUNCTION KEYS -
  9.   F1  - May be pressed at any time to access the  help function.  EXIT
  10.             from HELP returns to the program where you left off.
  11.   F2  - Allows the user  to change  system defaults.  The defaults are
  12.             further described in subsequent HELP screens.
  13.   F3  - Reads the directory from the disk in the  default drive.  NOTE
  14.             that some diskettes have unreadable directories.
  15. FUNCTION KEYS (cont) -
  16.   F4  - Save comment line #3 to DMASTER.CMT  file.  This file is auto-
  17.             matically read at start of job if that option is chosen.
  18.   F5  - Print diskette label for information currently entered and re-
  19.             trieved from disk.
  20.   F6  - Clears all non-default  data from the  screen.  This is a good
  21.             way to "start over".
  22. FUNCTION KEYS (cont) -
  23.   F7  - Exit from HELP. This key is only active when you are in HELP.
  24.   F10 - Exit to DOS.

  29. DISK MASTER FILES
  30.   Several files are used by this program.  If you have a hard disk you
  31.   should load the entire  distribution disk to a  sub-directory on the
  32.   the hard disk. No copy protection schemeis used so  you  should copy
  33.   as follows:
  34.                A>COPY *.* C:\[directory name] /V

  37.   If you have a two drive floppy disk  system make a copy of  the dis-
  38.   tribution diskette using DISKCOPY.  Do not place a write protect tab
  39.   on the copy since the program must write on the disk when running.
  40.   If you have a single diskette system make a copy as described above.
  41.   Place the copy in  drive  A  and start the program.  When requested,
  42.   put the disk to be read in A. Place the system disk back after read.

  45.   DEFAULT DRIVE - The  drive  letter of  the diskette drive the system
  46.     will use to read the directory of the disk to be  labeled.  If you
  47.     have a single  diskette  system this should be "A".  If you have a
  48.     a two diskette drive system this should be "B".

  52.   READ COMMENT - Comment line #3 is special.  It can  be automatically
  53.     read (DMASTER.CMT) and  loaded on the screen each time  the system
  54.     the program is started. Allowed valued are YES or NO. You may make
  55.     changes to comment line #3  permanent by  keying a new comment  #3
  56.     line and pressing F4.

  58.   PRINTER - Three printers are supported. The name of the printer used
  59.     must be supplied in this field.  The printers are  EPSON,  IBM and
  60.     OKIDATA.  If your  printer has  control code  sequences compatible
  61.     with one of these printers type in the name  of that  printer.  If
  62.     you need to make the program work with a different printer, obtain
  63.     a copy of the source code.

  66.   DEFAULT NUMBERING - The system allows you to specify a starting num-
  67.     ber that will be printer on the diskette label. Following printing
  68.     the number will be incremented by one and rewritten  to the  disk.
  69.     The number can be reset at any time to any number by choosing F2.

  71. OTHER DEFAULTS
  72.   The following  fields assume  default  values if  nothing is entered
  73.   when the field is requested:

  76.         FORMAT  - 9-SEC            OPERATING SYSTEM  - NONE
  77.         DATE    - System Date
